Social Capital Markets (SOCAP), an organization dedicated to increasing the flow of capital toward social good, is holding its flagship conference, SOCAP14, in San Francisco from September 2nd to the 5th. SOCAP holds its annual event to connect leading global innovators, investors, social entrepreneurs, and philanthropists to build a market dedicated to maximizing social good.
Themes that will discussed in this year's conference include healthy food sustainability, collaborative economy, financial inclusion, place-based innovation, and impact investing among others. SOCAP13 had more than 1,900 individuals from forty-five countries participate in the two day conference. This year, SOCAP14 is offering scholarships for individuals to attend. The scholarship deadline is June 15, 2014 and applications can be found here. In addition to applying to their scholarship program, participants are encouraged to submit program and session ideas and vote on the themes for this year's conference.
