Iranian Alliances Across Borders (IAAB)

PARSA Community Foundation was the first Persian community foundation and the only Persian philanthropic institution practicing strategic philanthropy and promoting social entrepreneurship around the globe. While in operation from 2005 to 2009, PARSA awarded almost $10 million in grants to non-profits, universities and colleges, museums, and independent filmmaker and artists. One of the organizations that received numerous PARSA grants was Iranian Alliances Across Borders (IAAB).

With the completion of IAAB's 7th annual Camp Ayandeh, IAAB has reached the midway point of PARSA Community Foundation's three year commitment to turn IAAB from an all volunteer organization to one with paid staff members. In the 18 months since the grant, IAAB has:

• opened an office in New York City;
• organized the largest network of Iranian student groups, with over 50 participating colleges and universities worldwide;
• expanded the reach of Camp Ayandeh by adding a record number of participants every year;
• and, created the Summer Leadership Institute which includes the much celebrated Camp Ayandeh, Camp Javan (a sister camp for middle school students), and the Leadership in Action Fellowship for university students.
